Holly Newbury's life is on hold in the cozy English village of Chilton Crosse. While her friends are marrying, having children, and embarking on successful careers, Holly is raising her three younger sisters and working part time at the village art gallery. Her life feels incomplete, but family is more important to her than anything. Then a film crew's arrival galvanizes the community, and Holly becomes fast friends with Fletcher Hays, the movie's love-shy American writer.

The production of an Emma film isn't the only drama in town, though. Their father makes a choice that threatens everything she gave up her dreams for. Holly's sisters endure growing pains. And Fletcher plans to return to America as soon as filming is over, ruining any chance of their relationship blossoming further. After years of sacrificing for others, Holly must find the courage to take a risk on a future she never dared to expect.

Another satisfying read by Traci Borum! Revisit Chilton Crosse; eat at Joe's Pub, stop by Noelle's art gallery, shop at Mrs. Pickering's market....It's such a pleasure to come back to this delightful village and catch up with old friends.
Holly, who we first meet in Painting the Moon, has been putting her dreams on hold for several years as she takes care of her father and sisters after the death of her mother. She knows that there is something more out there for her, but the opportunity just hasn't arrived. Then the unexpected happens with the arrival of a movie crew to film Emma by Jane Austen.
This is the 2nd book in a series, but you really don't have to read the first one to enjoy this one. It reminds me of the Mitford series by Jan Karon, where you grow to love a community and its townspeople as you read each book. It makes me want to travel to Chilton Crosse and visit all the neat places and see the lush landscape. If you are a fan of her first book, you'll appreciate getting some glimpses of Noelle and Adam several times in this book.
Holly is a very likable character and her dedication to her family is very touching. The romance is G rated and builds slowly, just as it would in a Jane Austen novel. Friendship comes first, which is always the foundation for great romances that last a lifetime. You happy endings fans will not be disappointed. *sigh* I can't wait to see who we get to learn more about in her 3rd book!!

Finding the Rainbow Chilton Crosse Book 2 (Audible Audio Edition) Traci Borum Nancy Peterson LLC Red Adept Publishing Books Reviews

FABULOUS!! A book that can transport you to a different place and introduce to you new friends is just the best! To spend the day smiling, laughing and crying with them is a great way to spend the day!!! Traci Borum has her way with words. She is a master at putting together a sentence that delights all five senses! I am looking forward to her next book!
Simply astounded at the depth of emotions triggered throughout t this book. One moment laughing out loud, the next, tears streaming down my face. Literally read this book in three days! Could not put it down. About to begin book 3 as soon as I can get off work and get home to snuggle in a big comfy blanket and lose myself once again in the quaint little village and its residents, I'm sure that have real life inspiration, but that is perfectly described and delivered to the pages of my kindle straight from the heart of Traci Borum!
Loved this book just as much as her first, "Painting the Moon!" Cannot wait for the next book in the Chilton Crosse series. Traci please hurry with the next one. What I like about Traci Borum's books is she does not bore the reader with long descriptive details, but gives the reader enough information to immerse themselves in the story. Although, it is a fast read, the story has lots of twists, turns, unexpected events and keeps your interest. Once you start the book you just can't put it down and then, on the last page you don't want it to end. I usually read mysteries and biographies and this is a wonderful change from violence and descriptive sex.
Chilton Crosse books have great story lines and you feel like you're part of the village. You get involved in the story and wonder how things will turn out, but you always have a good, optimistic feeling about the outcome!
I finished Painting the Moon and loved it so much, I looked for other books from this author. This was a great read also. I've been in the Colorado mountains all summer reading books I have bought for my . These two were the best so far and I have read a lot. To top it off, I find she is from my home town and teaches at a college very close. Would love to meet her. Will be reading more of her books.
I have this book in both the kindle and paperback formats. There's something about holding an "actual" book in my hands that makes me happy, but I also love the kindle versions because my kindle is my "on the go" companion. Both formats are great.

What's so charming about this book is how easy it is to slip into an entirely different setting. There is nothing pretentious about the writing, the narration, or the characters. These are people we could all know; indeed, these are people many of us would love to know. What's truly enticing about Ms Borum's book is how the reader naturally feels at home, as if we belong in her world of Chilton Crosse. This village becomes our village, these neighbors become our neighbors, and the joys and tribulations of the characters become our own.
I found myself at loose ends a couple days ago. I was home, sick with a cold and direly in need of distraction. I had purchased this book a few days before (on my ), but honestly, had put off starting it. I loved the first Chilton Crosse book, would the second one disappoint?

To answer the question I read it in one sitting. I couldn't stop.

Holly is a sweetheart who puts her family ahead of herself. Fletcher is a dashing, Southern gentleman who is only in town for a short time. I loved the story. But the ending!

Oh the ending lifted my heart and made me want to sing. I'd give this one six stars if I could!
